On Friday May 2nd 2025 my grandson Semahj was born. Unfortunately, a day that was supposed to be one of the best days of my son's Steven and his girlfriend Asia's lives turned into a nightmare. Asia had gone through her complete pregnancy healthy without any complications. A first year nursing student preparing for an unexpected pregnancy. She did everything thing she was told by her physician to do. Her and Steve worked to purchase everything they could for the arrival of Semahj.. So what went wrong?? A careless obgyn by the name of Dr. Jacobs at Texas Health Frisco is what went wrong. Asia was originally given 2 induction dates to choose from, April 23 and April 30. She was completely healthy and at no risk so there was no reason to be induced but Dr. Jacobs told her "this is when I'm on call." I told her to cancel and she did for April 23rd and was then scheduled for April 30th which still was not necessary. Wednesday April 30th she was given medication to ripen her cervix. May 1st she was checked at 2 cms. As time progressed she slowly dilated through out the day. May 2nd 1a.m she was stuck at a 8/ 8.5 for 5 1/2 hours. At this time they knew Semahj's head was turned to the side and he was sunny side up. Dr. Jacobs told them to give it another hour to see is she dilates any more. At 8:50 a.m they begin to prepare her to push. At 10:53 a.m nothing has progressed as she pushed. At 11:29 am they stated that they could see his head but he had not come through the birth canal. The nurses called Dr. Jacobs to tell her and let her know Semahj still had not crowned and was still in the incorrect position. She told them to let her push a little longer she had to figure out what she was going to do about her clinic patients (call is on speaker) At 12:40ish the nurse called it and said she's not going to let her push anymore she needs a c-section. He was not in the right position they had tried multiple positions for Asia and nothing was changing. They spoke with Dr. Jacobs she said she would be there at 2 p.m to perform the c-section. At 2ish she texted the nurse and says she's running behind at the clinic and will be there in about 30 minutes. The message was given to use while we were getting them ready for the csection. She walks in at 2:44 exactly!! Semahj was born 3:32 pm May 2nd.. Unfortunately he was not breathing a code was called cpr was given and he is now intubated. They said he swallowed meconium, he had fluid and acid in his lungs, Lack of oxygen to his brain, he was completely swollen and Dr. Jacobs response was "I'm so sorry I don't know how this happened."
Saturday she comes in says to Asia "Sorry Asia I didn't mean for this to happen." No one expected this. I should have given you a csection when you were stuck at 8cm but I know you wanted to have a natural birth.
So Dr. Jacobs has risked our sweet baby boys life for her convenience. Her only concern was making sure that her patients at her clinic were seen. Not the safety & deliverance of Semahj knowing he was at risk. His parents are being told that his case is severe and even though many things can happen. Based off current scans and test taken they believe he may be brain dead due to lack of oxygen because he needed to be delivered sooner. He didn't deserve this, they didn't deserve this.. He was already so loved by his parents and family and he deserves justice. As the test continue and all measures are taken. I ask for continuous prayers for Semahj and his parents. We are believing GOD is able and keeping as much faith and hope as possible. #JusticeForSemahj
Please share as we hope this can get into someone's hands who can help his parents.

I don't have enough kind words to say about Dr. Jacob. She delivered my two babies, and throughout the whole process from confirming the pregnancies to 2 C-sections, she kept me laughing and answered any and all questions I had with a smile. Her team is incredibly supportive and made me feel taken care of.
I would have more babies just to spend more time with Dr. Jacob, but I'm tired with the 2 girls I already have!

If you’re thinking about getting pregnant, do not mention ANYTHING about midwives. I’m not even pregnant. Just wanted to hear the pros/cons of both for educational purposes. She became so cold towards me. I even had a follow up appointment. The cold behavior continued. She even mentioned the midwife then so I knew it was still on her mind. Very disappointing. But life goes on! Just caught me by surprise cause I’ve always had great things to say about doc. But hey, everyone has off days so showing some empathy. But wouldn’t want anyone else to experience
